Not only make appearances in Justice League, the characters such as Flash, Cyborg and Wonder Woman also have their standalone movies in DC Extended Universe.

When introducing DC Extended Universe, Warner Bros. openly shows their intention of fair competition with Marvel Studios. If Marvel has a list of upcoming blockbuster queing up to 2020, so does DC. Unlike Marvel produces standalone movies about Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America before uniting them in a movie later, DC releases Justice League: Part 1 and then Flash, Aquaman and Shazam will have their own movie. Let's take a look at what we have already known about their plans.

1. Suicide Squad (05/08/2016)

Suicide Squad tells the story of a secret government agency which recruits imprisoned supervillains to execute dangerous black ops missions in exchange for clemency. The movie is written and directed by David Ayer and stars an ensemble cast featuring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, and Scott Eastwood.

2. Wonder Woman (23/06/2017)

Wonder Woman is an origin story illustrating the transformation of a young Diana Prince into the greatest warrior of all time. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins with a screenplay by Jason Fuchs, and stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Lucy Davis, Robin Wright, Lisa Loven Kongsli, Danny Huston, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui, Elena Anaya, and David Thewlis.

3. Justice League Part 1 (17/11/2017) and Part 2 (14/06/2019)

Earth's greatest heroes: Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), the Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) are assembled to form the Justice League, to combat a threat beyond each member's capabilities.

4. The Flash (16/03/2018)

While working in his lab during a storm one night, a bolt of lightning strikes a tray of chemicals soaking police scientist Barry Allen with its contents. Now able to move at super-speed, Barry becomes The Flash protecting Central City from the threats it faces. The movie is directed by Seth Grahame-Smith, starring Ezra Miller.

5. Aquaman (27/07/2018)

The movie will see Aquaman return to the ocean to help his people combat a new threat - and that threat will most likely be Black Manta. It's unlikely that it will be an origin story, but it will surely touch upon the fact that he is half-human (on his father's side) and half-Atlantean (on his mother's side).

6. Shazam! (05/04/2019)

There is no information about directors as well as the leading actors yet. The movie will likely focus on the character's least silly origin, the one depicted in the more modern New 52 continuity, which sees fifteen year old Billy Batson becoming the titular hero when the ancient and powerful magical warrior Black Adam (who will be played by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in the movie) is released from his tomb.

7. Cyborg (03/04/2020)

Cyborg will follow Justice League Part Two and it will probably be a massive mood-killer. The plot is not revealed yet, but probably the villain will likely be someone like Deathstroke or Grid. There may also be hints towards the future formation of the Teen Titans in the DCEU.

8. Green Lantern Corps. (19/06/2020)

In the movie, the Green Lantern Corps will be a long-established intergalactic police force and they will indeed have Earth-based members, but this movie may focus on as many as three Green Lanterns, likely with John Stewart as the main Green Lantern of Sector 2814. Tyrese Gibson might be wearing that particular ring.

9. The Untitled Batman Movie

Although a solo Batman outing has been as good as confirmed (with Ben Affleck both starring and directing, if rumours are to be believed), it hasn't been given a name yet and no date has been scheduled for its release. The latest unconfirmed details on this one indicate that it might be an adaptation of the Under the Red Hood story. Under the Red Hood is the story of how the second Robin, Jason Todd, returned from the dead after his murder at the hands of the Joker. Todd becomes the brutal vigilante known as the Red Hood, and it's up to Batman and Nightwing to take him down.
