"Fast & Furious" star Vin Diesel affirmed that this is the action stunt none of you have seen before!

If there’s one thing we can expect from the eighth installment in the Fast & Furious series, it’s a lot of four-wheeled mayhem. Last Friday, an explosive Fast 8 stunt from the film’s shooting in Cleveland truly stunned the audience with a series of cars plummeting from a parking garage and onto a moving motorcade. Seems like the filmmakers want to turn Friday to their more-news-coming day. According to second unit stunt coordinator Andy Gill, there will be between 35 to 40 cars involved in this massive pileup. The crew has been calling this the "zombie car" sequence.

Vin Diesel teases that this sequence will feature action which fans have never seen before. "That's how we do things on 'Fast and Furious'," second unit director Spiro Razatos says, "We do things practical. As long as we do things safe, that's the bottom line."

The Fast 8 cast is confirmed to include franchise regulars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky, Nathalie Emmanuel and Lucas Black reprising their roles as street racers-turned-international criminals-turned-super-secret agents. Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson and Kurt Russell are confirmed to return as well. Charlize Theron is confirmed to play the villain, with Kristofer Hivju as one of her henchmen. Scott Eastwood will be playing a protégé of Russell’s Mr. Nobody.

Fast 8 is scheduled to hit theaters on April 14, 2017. Straight Outta Compton helmer F. Gary Gray will direct the feature, which is planned to launch the new trilogy of films. Look for Fast and Furious 9 to arrive on April 19, 2019 with Fast and Furious 10 following on April 2, 2021. Fast and Furious 8, 9 and 10 aren’t the only films new that Universal has planned for the franchise. It was recently revealed that plans are underway for both Fast and Furious spinoffs and prequels.
