The huge salary Robert Downey Jr. expressed his interest in playing the leading role in the forth installment of Marvel's Iron Man one more time, and also warmly welcomes the new female Iron Man.

Robert Downey Jr has responded to the decision of Marvel Comics to replace Tony Stark with an African - American 15-year-old prodigy Riri Williams.

The Avengers actor took to Twitter and shared the image featuring Williams with the Iron Man's armour to welcome his successor. He wrote, "Get ready for a new generation of Marvel BAMF..."

Robert Downey Jr. has played the role of billionaire Tony Stark since 2008 and he now brings us the good news that he is willing to get on the Iron Man costume again. The actor told ABC’s Nightline during a Captain America: Civil War set visit that another Iron Man film is not entirely off the table. “I feel like I could do one more,” he said. And while appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2014, Downey confirmed that the filmmakers were implementing Iron Man 4.

Speaking with IGN onThursday, the director, who worked with Downey on Iron Man and Iron Man 2, says he's had a hard time imagining someone else donning the signature red and gold power suit.

"I can't imagine how they could but that doesn't mean that they can't. I just can't wrap my head around that one," the Jungle Book director said when asked about an Iron Man film being made without Downey.

In 2014, Robert Downey Jr. told Variety, “There isn’t one in the pipe. No, there’s no plan for a fourth Iron Man.” And that has been Downey’s stance in most of his public interviews. This is the first time that Robert Downey Jr. has said on record that he’d be willing to do an Iron Man 4.

If the release updates are any indication, the movie will not release before 2020 and may be slated after "Avengers: Infinity War." However, reports note that despite the Marvel Comics Universe timelines, Marvel can still go for "Iron Man 4," albeit, as a prequel. The movie may follow the events after "Captain America: Civil War." Until the official word comes out, the fans continue to hope that they will see their favorite actor, bringing their favorite superhero, to life.
